Awesome news! Johann's Face is proud to announce the opening of our latest venture!
It's a record/book store called BUCKET O' BLOOD BOOKS AND RECORDS and it's at 2307 N. Milwaukee Ave, in Logan Square, Chicago IL.....
The store focuses on vinyl, DVDs and collectibles (tons of old Johann's Face stuff from the 90's), and used Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror books. The vinyl focuses on punk, metal, and indie rock.
Our opening day is Friday, June 4th, 2010 and to celebrate we'll be having free drinks, BBQ and some awesome events.
Friday the 4th: Acoustic performance by THE RUTABEGA, and me (Marc Ruvolo) reading two of my speculative fiction stories. 8PM
Saturday the 5th: Acoustic performances by SASS DRAGONS, DAS KAPITAL, and BALLS DEEP. 7PM
I'll be there every day. Come by and say hey!!!!

dOUBT "Box of Headaches" is now up for sale and on ITUNES. There's only 100 actual CDR's to buy. It's a online release of recordings from 1991 featuring me (Marc R.) on guitar and GAR on vocals in Gar's only band: dOUBT. It was recorded by STEVE ALBINI and also features KERA SCHALEY on cello and vocals; she played cello on NIRVANA'S best album, IN UTERO. No kidding! Check it out, kinda like The Pixies meet Sonic Youth.
